REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care That Was a Close ShaveWhat have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?
Amy Abdai 7/17/2022 9:36 AMSteel razors are more expensive but more easily recycled. Disposable razors were inevitable in our society which craves convenience. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Minimize PackagingWith the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?
Amy Abdai 7/15/2022 5:38 PMThis challenge truly opened my eyes to the amount of single use plastic packaging in the grocery stores. I look for items in cardboard or glass packaging, but sometimes these items are more expensive. Cost can be a factor for many people especially in this time of rising prices. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Donate Zero Waste Period ProductsHow can having access to zero waste period products help people who menstruate overcome barriers to education or other opportunities?
Amy Abdai 7/15/2022 5:33 PMGirls in developing countries often drop out of school when their periods start. Reusable periods products help girls stay in school.
