What I've learned in this process is that its not that hard to change from buying plastic water bottles to going to putting filtered water in glass reusable bottles instead....takes a bit more time, but well worth it.  Also when cleaning, I've been using more natural products like vinegar, lemons, and baking soda....and they work great, smell better, and less expensive too!  And last but not least, moving to your own bags for grocery shopping saves a lot of plastic and paper bags in the long run....the hardest part is remembering to bring in the bags to the grocery store!

What have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?

Just learned that pizza boxes are not recyclable....and I've been tossing them in that bin for the past few years.  I will make that change now.

This was so eye-opening for me.  Now I really want to not drink any of my water out of a plastic water bottle.  I will now be keeping my water in glass bottles.  The health risks are much more than I realized.
