REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityIn what ways is social media an effective tool for sharing your values?
Christina Arnold 7/13/2022 2:42 PMI consistently post about Life Unplastic because I love going there and hope to inspire some others to take a peek too, especially since you can order online for a for my out of state friends -
Christina Arnold 7/12/2022 2:16 PMI reorganized my cooking supplies cabinet yesterday and was so happy to see most of it is plastic free/refilled thanks to Life Unplastic!! The transition took time, but at this point it is second nature to just head to Life Unplastic to refill my supplies. As a bonus, some of these can be used for cleaning or diy beauty supplies.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityHave you noticed a difference in how your community, friends, and family members use plastics since you've shared your own actions?
Christina Arnold 7/12/2022 2:12 PMI've had many friends and family tell me about plastic free swaps they've made after seeing what I do or after conversations with them about swaps they can and should make, which is always amazing to hear! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodSince the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?
Christina Arnold 7/11/2022 9:31 AMWhen they weren't accepting mugs, it was definitely a huge challenge since I'm not great at making my own coffee. Luckily, many coffee shops have resumed accepting reusable mugs, so I'm glad I can rock my reusable cup again! Some shops in Gainesville that offer discounts with your own mug are:
Coffee 101 in the Santa Fe College Library - 10 cents off
Maude's Cafe - $1 off
Opus Coffee - 30 cents off, or you can donate your discount to their Cups of Change program
