Not difficult really.  Just have to remember to always carry cloth bag or use backpack.

Very effective with The Phoenix on Kingston Road
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?

We never buy chicken, etc.  with black container bases as they can’t be recycled.  We were able to encourage our local Chinese food takeout place to provide compostable containers which we pay an extra fifty cents for.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Single use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?

Plastic needs energy to manufacture and hence carbon emissions.  Reducing carbon emissions central way to save the planet.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Always bring in apples in reusable container as it will act as compost receptacle in car, etc.
