  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Megan Brown 7/30/2022 7:36 AM
Yes, I have definitely noticed people being more aware since I've started sharing
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
In what ways is social media an effective tool for sharing your values?

    Megan Brown's avatar
    Megan Brown 7/30/2022 7:35 AM
Social media is a good way to help spread positive messages about conservation
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
It is often true that we only have control over our own actions and not the collective community. How can you lead by example when it comes to switching disposables for reusable dishes in your community?

    Megan Brown's avatar
    Megan Brown 7/28/2022 8:56 AM
By encouraging others by bringing reusable items and make sure you practice what you preach
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
What was your main take away from this film? Did anything surprise you?

    Megan Brown's avatar
    Megan Brown 7/28/2022 8:55 AM
Main takeaway is that we as a planet need to come up with more eco friendly packages and really try harder to get rid of single use plastics

I have learned a lot and will keep going even after July ends
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Lifestyle
What is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?

    Megan Brown's avatar
    Megan Brown 7/28/2022 8:53 AM
Refilling travel containers reduces waste and makes you more aware of what is being used. I will continue to do this when I travel
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

    Megan Brown's avatar
    Megan Brown 7/28/2022 8:51 AM
I learned that even though I am watching my plastic I still have a ways to go. I wasn't too surprised by that and will continue to work on it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal Care
Even though they are marketed as "flushable," disposable wipes do not disintegrate in water or the sewer system, and actually release microplastics into our waterways. How does it feel to learn this information? What do you want to do about it?

    Megan Brown's avatar
    Megan Brown 7/27/2022 1:19 PM
I did know this already and I continue to not purchase or use these items

Had a great day reducing my plastic consumption and making good choices
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Since the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?

    Megan Brown's avatar

Making sure I have a clean reusable mug with me and asking companies if they practice sustainable habbits
