I learned a lot this month--how much trash I generate, how much of that is recyclable, or even replaceable, and what things are *not* recyclable. It was eye opening! I'll definitely be doing some more sustainable things in the future, like using my cloth tote bags more and getting things like beeswax covers for bowls and such instead of using plastic wrap.

I've noticed how many things *aren't* recyclable--so not only do I want to change to use more recyclable materials, but I also think it should be easier to recycle things, so I'm looking into that!

As you have reduced your spending, what have you noticed about your 'health and safety' purchasing habits? How might this change your longer term purchasing decisions?

I'm tempted to buy things just to buy them, and that's something that I need to address going forward, not just for ecological health but for financial health!

    Food
How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

Re-using containers like jam jars or peanut butter containers to store things, as well as using my huge tote bag collection for transporting things.

I've really been noticing how much I throw away and recycle, and it's been pretty eye-opening, even after just three days.

I can definitely recycle more things than I am currently doing and I can use more reusable options.

I thought I was doing pretty well with this but wow, I need to do more work when it comes to groceries and makeup.
