Even though the first week is done, I will still try to continue doing the new actions that I started for this challenge while continuing my previous actions that I was already doing before we started this challenge. I wish everyone the best of luck with their efforts!

How does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?

It makes me feel good. I am satisfied with the effort that my family, my neighbors and I put towards the "Pick Up Party." We even left bags in spots throughout the community that we will go back and try to collect. We also had fun and ate healthy snacks while doing the pick up.

What did you learn about bioplastic production and disposal? Did anything surprise you? Are bioplastics accepted by your city's waste management?

Bio-plastics are made from renewable materials and partially some plants. They can be broken down completely into water. Bio-degradablity
of bio-plastics need high temperatures. Recyclable materials are BANNED from disposal in Wisconsin.

What are some of the cases you could make to an employer for why switching to durable dishes and utensils is actually in their best interest as well?

We would have less trash to empty out by the end of the day/week.

It is often true that we only have control over our own actions and not the collective community. How can you lead by example when it comes to switching disposables for reusable dishes in your community?

Buy reusable tumblers and decorate/personalize them for my family, co-workers and other people I know in the community.
