REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhat did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?
Kristalena Rose 7/03/2022 7:04 PMI wasn't very surprised by the results of this estimate. Where I live, it's difficult to buy food items in bulk with plastic free packaging. But this month, I'm hoping to work on reducing my plastic consumption by trying to make more of my base foods at home like tofu and plant based milk. :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleWhat are the benefits (to people, animals, and the environment) of purchasing clothes made with natural fibers?
Kristalena Rose 7/01/2022 7:59 PMBuying clothing made of natural fibers will help reduce the microplastics in the water. As clothing becomes older, fibers will breakdown leading to your clothes shedding microplastics. Natural fibers can reduce this problem by being able to break down in the water system! They also are better for the environment because they use less fossil fuels and harmful chemicals in production. Shopping sustainable is not only ecological but ethical!!
