Lifestyle

Ditch Dryer Sheets

I will use wool dryer balls or another plastic-free alternative to dryer sheets to keep my clothes static-free.

Because many tea bags and most sleeves and sachets contain plastic, I will switch to using loose leaf tea.

Minimalism is in.  Think twice when making purchases and buy only what you need or that can be used more than once.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Lifestyle
What's a positive example of a repurposed good that you have observed in your neighborhood/city?

Juice cartons, 2 liter soda bottles and milk jugs make great pots to start your seedlings in your garden.

This has been such a great tool to learn more about my own actions and about how I can influence others in making better choices for the environment.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Lifestyle
What did you learn by making your own cleaning products? What is the biggest difference in making vs buying?

By researching less toxic cleaning products, I've learned so many uses for baking soda and vinegar that are so much more effective and safer for the environment (and cheaper too!).
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?

Now that I made the switch to a bamboo toothbrush, whenever I brush my teeth (3 times a day!), it's a great reminder to think about what else I can do to lessen my impact on the environment.
