Still struggling to eliminate plastic from my daily food consumption! As a vegan, meat alternatives come in plastic packaging. The spaghetti I purchased purposefully thinking it came in a paper bag was lined. I chewed gum which came from a plastic package. This is the toughest part for me.

I spoke to the manager of a local smoothie shop about switching from styrofoam to a more eco-friendly cup, and they began utilizing recyclable plastic instead. Not ideal, but a step in the right direction nonetheless!

Currently most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?

I posted on social media a tour of the plastic-free shop I work at, and provide resources (litterless.com, as well as my own labor) to help others locate bulk refill stores in their local areas.
