Choose Reusable Food Storage
I will only use reusable containers instead of single-use plastic storage items (such as plastic wrap, single-use sandwich bags).

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHow can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?
Molly Mcchale 7/31/2022 6:14 PMUse anything that should have been a single use! I constantly hold onto jars, cups, bottles and repurpose them for storing foods all the time and if I can’t then they turn into change jars and plant holders. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodTake time to reflect or meditate over your plastic-free cup of tea. Share your thoughts and reflections with us here!
Molly Mcchale 7/31/2022 6:13 PMIt was a great cup! My sister and I love sharing different teas and making our own loose leaf ones all the time so I’m getting more heavily involved in this. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleOften, single-use and disposable products don't just create more trash - they also contain toxins that are bad for humans. What are some other single-use items that are harmful to humans?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFamilyWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Molly Mcchale 7/31/2022 6:11 PMToo many to count unfortunately and list! But I’m very nervous about the carelessness for our environment with our pollution levels, feelings that the next person who walks along will do it for us and how drastic our temperatures here in CT were this year! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodBesides having access to fresh herbs and vegetables, what benefits will you see from growing your own garden?
Molly Mcchale 7/31/2022 6:10 PMI know exactly where everything is coming from and I’ll have easy access to it for cooking, as well as gifting to others! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleHow easy was this swap for you? Did you have any concerns before making it?
Molly Mcchale 7/31/2022 6:09 PMThis definitely was! I didn’t think I would and I’m glad it was easy peasy :) -
Molly Mcchale 7/31/2022 6:02 PMNever actually signed up until the very end but hoping that I’m helping with getting you guys extra points! I have been practicing this with my kids and animals for the past month or so though- apologies for not getting here sooner! Your team is amazing and you all should be so proud !-

REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleWas this action easy or difficult to do? How did it change your travel experience?
Molly Mcchale 7/31/2022 6:00 PMIt made me much more conscience about what I should bring and am bringing with me everywhere but wasn’t difficult! Just took me a few extra steps -
