Less toxins applied to them, more flavorful and healthy foods, better mental health from working in the garden

It is actually less work use a reusable scooper.  We save our dogs food bags for many purposes around the house.  They are very sturdy and hold up well to being washed and used again.

Traveling with your own snacks and food is both cheaper, healthier and better for the environment.  I was more satisfied and felt better after having my own food.

In addition to the environmental benefits, it is easier to and cheaper to fly.  Most bar soaps are healthier for you as well.  There has been great advancement in the options in the past few years.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

You specifically have to ask for a straw at more places now.  We either don't use them or we bring our reusable.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Since the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?

We don't go out as much and make our coffee more at home that we have in previous years.

Most fresh snacks are healthies, more satisfying and tastier.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Family
Most of us know that the "3 R's" are reduce, reuse, recycle. Recycling is most heavily emphasized in modern Western culture. How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

    Julie Milinovich 7/13/2022 6:27 AM
We do our best to practice this at home already.  My girls are even to the point of immediately asking if we can fix or repurpose something before disposing of it.
