Working with others to clean up a community makes me feel hopeful for change. It also feels good to see like minded people come together for something greater than ourselves.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

Sometimes buying food with plastic containers is unavoidable so I wash and re-use the containers to keep at work for myself or other people to use.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Since the restrictions that COVID-19 has required of our society, trying to use your own cup might present new barriers, as well as new opportunities for creative problem solving. How were you able to achieve success on this action? How can you make it a long-term habit?

I have succeeded in using less disposable cups by simply making coffee at work using an "old school" coffee machine. Also, treating Starbucks like a treat rather than a daily occurrence. Now to think about those coffee filters...

There are reusable coffee filters out there! There are some made with cotton fabric and some made with metal. So much better than the disposable ones!
