  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What did you learn about bioplastic production and disposal? Did anything surprise you? Are bioplastics accepted by your city's waste management?

I learned that microplastics are everywhere even in my clothes, food and water.  I had no idea of processes involved in dealing with this issue.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
What are some of the cases you could make to an employer for why switching to durable dishes and utensils is actually in their best interest as well?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
What was your strategy in talking with your favorite restaurant's management? Did you find it to be effective?

How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

I can uscaall the items I already own in different combinations to create looks that reflect my mood and personality
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal Care
Do some research on the toxic side affects of aluminum deodorant. After reading the side effects, can you think of instances where you may have experienced the side effects from this form of deodorant?

    Laura Richwine's avatar
    Laura Richwine 7/27/2022 5:27 PM
I do not believe I have experienced any side effects from deodorant.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?

    Laura Richwine's avatar
    Laura Richwine 7/27/2022 4:58 PM
Alternatives would be to use glass containers for plastic bags. Also, cloth covers for leftovers as opposed to plastic wrap. This would make a big dent in our plastic useage.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
With the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?
