Whilma's actions
Food
Use a Reusable Mug
If possible, I will avoid sending 2 disposable cup(s) to the landfill per day by using a reusable mug or bringing my own travel cup.
Food
Fill a Water Bottle
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 2 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
Food
Minimize Packaging
I will purchase food items with the least amount of packaging.
Community
Say No to Styrofoam
Throughout its life cycle, polystyrene (styrofoam) can harm people, communities, and the planet. I will refuse styrofoam whenever I can, making sure to kindly let people know why I'm asking for alternative packaging.
Food
Choose Reusable Food Storage
I will only use reusable containers instead of single-use plastic storage items (such as plastic wrap, single-use sandwich bags).
Food
Cook a Plastic Free Meal
I will prepare meals at home each day without using any items packaged in single-use plastic.
Food
Skip Plastic Bags
When possible, I will not use disposable bags when shopping, including produce bags.
Community
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 6 piece(s) of litter each day.
Food
Go Strawless
I will keep 3 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill per day by refusing straws or using my own reusable straw.
Lifestyle
Travel Toiletries
If traveling, I will reuse my old travel tubes to refill with my soaps or only bring bar soaps with me in a TSA-approved reusable quart-sized bag.

Whilma Sackett 7/11/2022 2:56 PMIt was easy to complete the trash pick up today thanks to crows and cats who got into the resident's trash overnight waiting for the trash pick up this morning.-

Whilma Sackett 7/01/2022 9:56 AMWent to breakfast at a favorite restaurant today. I always take food home. I took my own container instead of using their Styrofoam container that they provide. I noticed this particular restaurant isn't using plastic straws. It was made of cardboard.
