REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleWas this action easy or difficult to do? How did it change your travel experience?
Dorothy Schetzel 7/09/2022 6:49 AMEasy. I love packing my own snacks. This saves me money in the long run because I am not impulse buying other snacks. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleWhat is the benefit of using bar soaps or refilling your travel sized containers? Is this an action you think you will keep in your life?
Dorothy Schetzel 7/09/2022 6:48 AMBy refilling my own containers, I am using the shampoos and other products that I am familiar with rather than stuff I don't know how I'll react to. Also by using my own containers, I don't need to use the ones in hotels and the more people who use their own stuff, the less plastic is used to continually add new products to rooms. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleHow easy was this swap for you? Did you have any concerns before making it?
Dorothy Schetzel 7/09/2022 6:46 AMIt was a pretty easy swap for our soaps. I found a company called Blueland and they are an eco friendly company. They even had fun Disney designs for the glass soap dispensers -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal CareWhat are the economic and personal benefits of switching to bar soap/shampoo/conditioner or refillable bottle options?
Dorothy Schetzel 7/02/2022 5:15 AMBy switching to bars you are cutting out unnecessary plastics. Most companies selling bars or refillables are small businesses, so by buying from them you are helping support those small businesses -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityHave you noticed a difference in how your community, friends, and family members use plastics since you've shared your own actions?
Dorothy Schetzel 7/01/2022 1:32 PMI've noticed they are a little more conscious about their plastic usage. I've also noticed they recycle more -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
Dorothy Schetzel 7/01/2022 1:30 PMBy caring about how the community looks and actually picking trash up, it bonds the community. We know we can rely on one another to keep the community clean. -
Dorothy Schetzel 7/01/2022 7:27 AMSo far so good! I am watching my plastic use closely. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPetsWe know you want to - tell us about why your pet is so awesome!
Dorothy Schetzel 7/01/2022 7:27 AMI have 2 black cats that are the sweetest cats ever. I don't understand why black cats get such a bad reputation. They are so fun. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFamilyHow can you and your little one exercise your creativity without creating more plastic waste?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhy do you chew gum? What habits could replace and meet your reasons for chewing gum?
