Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?
Team, I am very thankful that I joined this challenge. I have enjoyed becoming more focused on "plastic free living", It really made my husband and I more aware. We both agreed, how important it is to keep our environment and bodies clean and healthy too!
I joined the challenge this year because I love healthy living, I eat plant base, use doTerra oils to clean my home from chemicals, that can pollute our air, and in my personal products.
I'v served in the Wetlands as a Dome Ranger for three years and love the animals. Its hard to look the animals in the eyes, if you are not helping to make their space special and clean to live in.
"My big Why" I knew plastic was a huge problem in our oceans and land, so I wanted to be more involved to help the animals and our environment, so we can stay clean.
I have reached out to my daughter - in -law Meghann on her birthday with a gift, Sea Turtle Bee's Wax, it turned out to be a great gift to get her. It is time to be plastic free and have Friedel, Royce and August join in for the fun.
I am not on social media, I only view my families post, I do send out text with lots of information and discuss it. I enjoy sharing educational tips, on how to keep a cleaner household, ways to shop for groceries and I'm still learn myself. I am sharing by word of mouth, I live in a walkable city and meet new people every day.
Our daily Gratitude walk along the Riverwalk began with a quick stop at the local GWM to re-evaluate another step toward being plastic FREE. In other words, FOCUS = Follow One Course Until Successfull - PTL!
We had been buying our eggs from 4Grain, but there was no way to contact them and have them explain why they are using plastic?
In stead, we made the choice to change over to Happy Eggs (great name by the way...haha!), since their signature yellow and blue cartons are environmentally friendly and biodegradable— including the labels! https://4grain.com/vegetarian.html vs https://happyegg.com/faqs
If you are still confused then make the TIME to watch this video from Portlandia and Colin the Chicken it is very funny! Have FUN! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G__PVLB8Nm4
p.s. Watching the boats and folks while using our plastic baggy for fresh fruit our Bee's Wraps...coolio!
The Scholl's in Channelside aka Sea Trek finishers!
Today, I discussed with GW Publix, about bringing my own jars and weighing certain food items, so I don't have to use plastic, for peanut butter and nuts. I haven't figured out some fruits, like blueberries that are already packaged. The manager I spoke with today, said he could help with the calculations. It takes time but its worth it, to know the ocean animals will have a safe home to live in one day.
My hubby and I had a blast diving with Sheldon the Sea Turtle and all our friends too (Fish, Sharks, Reys. etc). Wow and oh my goodness SEA TREK at FLAQ is awesome.
Did you know that 3/4 of this world is underwater and most of your body is made up of water and the moon changes cycles every 28 days...imagine that and PTL!
p.s. If you do not go in the water, you will NOT see a shark, but if you choose to go in the water, you may see a Shark smiling at you and the fish give you haircuts too...haha!
