REFLECTION QUESTIONFamilyWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Stacy Strickland 7/29/2022 1:24 PMWhat concerns me most about how we're affecting the planet? Yikes. That's a big question. Since Earth Overshoot day in the US was March 13th and yesterday it was Earth Overshoot day for the planet... I'd say the amount of resources we are using. And that we keep producing items from virgin fossil fuels that aren't able to be recycled or reused. We need to stop it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodSingle use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?
Stacy Strickland 7/29/2022 1:22 PMYesterday I posted on social media about the fact that only 9% of plastics are recycled, focusing on the single use plastic bag and some bag facts I pulled from some online research... hopefully highlighting the importance of grabbing our own tote bags, reusable containers, etc. when possible. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLifestyleWhat is your favorite reusable cup and why?
Stacy Strickland 7/27/2022 4:29 PMMy boyfriend recently received a reusable cup from his work... it's lightweight, plastic free and has the best lid for drinking - which is so important. There's nothing worse than a reusable that has a lid so funky that you can't actually drink out of it!
