Very easy to do! By packing I was able to be sure I ate healthy and didn't buy in to trash that can't be recycled. I saved money and didn't have to wait in a line or go out of my way to find food.

What did you learn by making your own cleaning products? What is the biggest difference in making vs buying?

I use distilled white vinegar to clean my floors... its a one ingredient item so no toxic chemicals, and so, is safe for my fur babies and I :)

Most of us know that the "3 R's" are reduce, reuse, recycle. Recycling is most heavily emphasized in modern Western culture. How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

How about adding in "reupholster"? A few years back I purchased a used patio set from a garage sale and this past year the cushions were worn and tattered... I ended up reupholstering all the cushions, which were still in good shape, and voila! New and improved patio set :)... didn't need to go out and buy a whole new set.

My clothes made from natural fibers last longer and and do less damage to the environment.

Absolutely, I see more restaurants using paper straws and more households using re-useable straws.

I keep my family healthy but not bringing preservatives into the house and keep the planet healthy but reducing the amount of waste in the landfill.
