    That there is always more to do and be done, but it makes a difference.

    After this challenge I learned that there are still more small changes I can make to help our environment.

    Doing this month made me and others around me think more about our use of disposable plastics. I hope to continue this practice and share with others why they should too.

    Started later than I wanted. We have a newborn in our family early this July. We are using disposable diapers now, but do plan to return back to cloth diapers like we have for a couple of our other children once he grows a little bigger.

    I didn't travel, nor will I be traveling the month of July, so this didn't pertain to me this month. I do bring a reusable water and coffee thermos when I travel, and will usually bring my own snacks, to avoid unnecessary waste and plastic. I will continue to do so in the future, and will continue to think of other ways to curb plastic waste.

    Often times, people in lower income families cannot afford to purchase items that would be more environmentally friendly. It frustrates me that the corporate conglomerates care so little about the effects of the environment. Those companies that are major contributors to plastic could find more sustainable products and sell them at the same...

    Without buying any more clothing or accessories, I can repurpose old clothing in new ways, participate in clothing swaps, or mend clothing that may be damaged or worn.

    Caring for my pet, and the environment, are two things that I do aim to connect. I only buy sustainably farmed food, use long lasting litter which requires less changing, and buy her toys and cat trees second hand.

    One of the issues with aluminum deodorant is staining clothing, I have definitely seen those yellow stains on my clothes, and now I know where they have been coming from.

    I went to a GFL facility and got to see how waste was compacted to be sold to manufactures to be used again. It was very interesting to see what wastes are sought after to be reused, and what goes on hold until it is a valued commodity again.
