This was hard to get used to because plastic is everywhere. I certainly tried and Delta Airlines helped as they already use recyclable items. More places are getting better about using bamboo but plastic is still widely used.

I changed several habits, but the issue is HUGE. Plastic is everywhere. Traveling in Europe until 8/25/22. They sell blueberries in cardboard boxes with a handle for carrying! They don't use individual shampoo/soap bottles in hotels. Delta Airlines uses bamboo silverware and reusable dishes. Everyone around me eagerly listened while I explained...

A few days ago I shared a few thoughts and will revisit those. During this month I have focused a lot on the excess packaging that everything comes in. I have avoided getting any bags while shopping and looking for items that are made of recycled materials. I have enjoyed being part of this and becoming more proactive in looking at what I buy.

Thank you so much for this challenge! Ever since we started, my plan is to carry a big purse everywhere I go and if I happen to buy something I can put it in my bag and not even think of getting an extra plastic wrap or bag.

I continue to search for plastic free toiletries and just found face care products in glass bottles

I continue to use toothpaste chewable pills. I’m not sure they’re as good as toothpaste but I’ll keep using until my dentist says otherwise

This is a hard one. I avoid using plastic bags for produce but premade items often use plastic.

So many “R” words to consider. Adding repair is right up my alley, and repurposing is such a great idea. I can do this staring today, I’ll use the container that my nuts cam in for the snack mixed nut dried fruit mix I make for work.

I chose to join “our” Rotary team for a great cause.  I’m hoping it helps me be more conscious and reduce  my plastic use.
