It was a lot. I did lots of baking so there were lots of butter wrappers -- should I use butter tubs now that those are accepted by my local MRF? There were lots of receipts from restaurants and the library, and canned olives (not good for the planet, but delish).

I forgot to check in today on the current day. This challenge really brings to mind the repercussions that not being conscious of our sustainability choices each day can create massive negative impact s on our environment. I completed a waste audit and estimated my plastic consumption at https://repurpose.global/apps/calculate-plastic-footprint).  I use 29.82 kg of plastic per year. My Footprint (29.82 KG) American (84 KG)  European (53 KG)  Indian (11 KG) Compare Your Usage:  64.50% lower than American  43.74% lower than European 171.09% higher than...

My daughter and granddaughter are visiting this weekend. I am so glad that I have passed along my sustainability values to my family. They packed their dinner for the drive here and stopped at a rest stop to enjoy the outdoors while eating their meal. And in many other ways, they are supporting the eco challenge.  And we talked about Earth...

We must aim to focus on refuse, reuse, and recycle. Nature has an important role in our well-being and we must take care of it. Reduce your plastic usage and try to focus on conserving nature!

I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and I noticed the dentist office gave patients a swig of mouthwash in a plastic cup. I asked the office manager if they could look into paper cups that are compostable or recyclable. She said they would check.  And I turned down the free plastic toothbrush that they offer and asked again if they had considered...
