Spoke to family about the use of less plastic .

I use roughly 64.13 kg of plastic per year, which is less than an average American, but more than an average European. I suppose that didn't surprise me, but I think our country has a lot of work today regarding plastic used in food production and eating more fresh produce/buying in bulk, 

It makes me feel great! Every time we canoe/kayak in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, we find a lot of litter/trash left, usually from the "party day" Saturday floaters. We always bring extra trash bags and grab as much we can out of the river/off the gravel bars to help protect the ecology of the spring fed rivers and streams.

After the plastic-free ecochallenge 3 years ago I made a lot of changes; dropped plastic bottles for shampoo, conditioner, hand/body/dish soaps, and detergents (laundry and dishwasher).
