I had become aware of the overuse of plastic bags so I joined this feed.  I saved any plastic covering the items I had purchased.  I had a paper bag where I put all the plastic bags and when it was full I took it to my local Randall's store where they have a plastic recycle ben.

The challenge for me was to sign-in to this feed daily!  I discovered several plastic bags in two trash bends at WPC.  I removed them and took them to the plastic recycle container at my local Randall's store.

WPC Earth Care Team:  I collected lots of plastic coverings of items  ordered for Vacation Bible School and will recycle them today.

Today I added a paper bag full of plastic to deliver for recycling.  I gathered lots of plastic wrappers from materials ordered for WPC Vacation Bible School and am taking them to recycle.

Chip Somerville told me he usually doesn't use plastic produce bags at all.  When buying produce, he peels the sticker off the item and puts it on his arm.  Then, when he goes through the self-checkout, he can scan each sticker, and weigh the item without a bag.

Plastic produce bags are my biggest single-use plastic item.  I've bought some re-usables, so this should reduce my overall use.

If eating out at a food truck court or other place that serves drinks in disposable containers, I take my own water bottle so I don't need to order a drink.

Am going grocery shopping tomorrow, and I put re-usable produce bags on my list.
