    my grandmother taught me to sew. one of my favorite ways to put my own personal flair into my outfits is to alter pieces I already have. it also makes wearing the clothes more rewarding.

    at first it was a bit of a challenge. i had a long road trip ahead of me and i had little time to prep food and figure out if I would have rest stops or other locations to pause and eat at. however, once I got on the road the food was the easiest part. it made my journey smoother and more enjoyable

    after reusable straws became mainstream, I saw may people start to explore other areas of reusable products and learning about their positive impacts.

    reducing my spending has made me more conscious about how my spending impacts individuals, where my products come from, and how much waste they create/chemicals and other non-renewable resources they use in the process of their creation

    single use plastics like zip-lock baggies and plastic water bottles contain traces of harmful chemical adhesives.

    While reusable products of this nature are often more expensive, in the long run they prove to be more sustainable and cost effective.
