I recently purchased some "bio-glitter" made out of cellulose, and I'm excited to try it out! I don't have any kids, but when I was an art teacher, I used to make a very thick gelatin to pour over dried flowers and leaves, dead bugs, etc and we would make "bio plastic" sun catchers for the classroom! after the gelatin dries, its extremely hard, but when kids get bored of the sun catchers and want to make new decorations, we can just go set them out in the rain to melt

One of the greatest benefits to me is getting to know people in my neighborhood. I love that using the Buy Nothing group for my neighborhood, I've met 2 of my neighbors.

Another perk is that I like being able to narrow down the clutter in my home by giving things to people nearby. I often forget how many of my unused things could be enjoyed by others!

I've also saved money on clothing by asking people in my Buy Nothing group before even going to the thrift store or the mall.

We have been eating a lot less salt and sugar most days of the week. I have tried to stop buying candy in general, and we've gone to places with bulk bins to buy different flavors of cashews and nuts. We've been wanting to reduce our waste for a while, so this was a quick action to help two issues at once.
