Become a Recycling Pro

One couple saw me and was so excited she said she was going to start doing the same thing. It's funny how it never occurs to people to do something so simple until they see someone taking the time to do it. There were two other people who Said thank you..

I think that is great that your habit may become somebody else's new habit!  Great job!

What have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?

Oak Ridge stopped ♻️ glass so we started combining errands and running it to Knoxville.  We have been doing this for 2 years. Just found out they are selling it to car paint places so they can grind it down to make pellets.  Then they use the pellets to sand blast the old paint off. So is it better to just throw it away or have it reused in another form of pollution?

So I did a small amount of digging and found this article, which made me feel better about the glass.
