I will spend 30 minutes finding out where landfills and/or toxic waste sites are situated in my region and which communities are most impacted by these sites.

Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will spend 30 minutes researching which materials are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community and recycle only those items.

Márta Ecsedi 7/27/2022 7:11 AMI followed up on how the plan to eliminate single use plastics is going in Richmond Hill. They are complying with the Federal mandates. -
Márta Ecsedi 7/21/2022 8:43 AMI decided to enlist a few of my "climate change" friends to see how we can influence local grocers to eliminate plastic bags. The big name grocery stores will be influenced by their head offices. -
Márta Ecsedi 7/19/2022 5:21 AMSince I have been an advocate for eliminating "single us plastics" for at least a decade I feel I have done everything I can do personally and with my family and friends. I'd love to see no one using plastic bags at the grocery store!! It takes all of my might to not take these people to task. When will ALL store get rid of their plastic bags? -
