So sad to see July come to a close. This was a good journey towards being ecofriendly!

Thanks for joining the challenge, Emily! We plan on participating in future Ecochallenges. There is typically another one in October that we have participated in the last couple of years called the People's Ecochallenge, and it is focused on individual and community wellbeing in addition to environmental health. We hope you'll consider joining our team again!

What have you noticed about the economic and social impact of switching to steel razors? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors, or do you think it was just a way to sell more things?

I switched to organic too! Kind of TMI: but I got to the point that I was unable to use the "everyday kind"  due to side effects. I switched to the organic Pads/liners as well

Even though they are marketed as "flushable," disposable wipes do not disintegrate in water or the sewer system, and actually release microplastics into our waterways. How does it feel to learn this information? What do you want to do about it?

Plastic affects all aspects of the environment. I think it hurts out community the most in the local ecosystems.

My plastic free ecochallenge is going very well! I have made sure that any plastic I have had to use has been properly cleaned and placed in recycling. I have done well with just using reusable containers to bring my lunch to work.
