Because of heightened covid awareness, lots of local businesses have been using plastic-wrapped items like coffee stirrers or utensils and individually packaged food like donuts or snacks. I recently asked the manager of my local wawa to bring back wooden coffee stirrers or look into paper wrapped alternatives and he said he would order some ! It’s difficult to balance safety and sustainability ~in these trying times~ but it’s always worth asking!
