I bring cut back my garden and flower pots and move them into the garage in the winter.  The spikes, trees, ivies and perennials survive for the following year.  I'll water them periodically when the temperature is above freezing.

The Plastic Free Ecochallenge has taught me:

The 5 Things you need to know to recycle Right!
    1.   Know what’s recyclable in your city.
    2.   2. Don’t bag it!
    3.   Clean and dry matters.
    4.   When in doubt, trash it.
    5.   Buy recycled.
