Every time I do this challenge, I continue to improve my carbon footprint in addition to learning more about the current environmental struggles we face every day. 

I am happy to keep menstrual products out of the landfill and our sewers! I like that the cup is reusable and I will never run out in an emergency.  

I couldn't get the map to work from the website, but from what I can gather most of them are outside of Seattle. In general, studies have show that landfills are in "neighborhoods where poor people and people of color live.”

I already have a pretty good idea of where my plastic waste is coming from (online shopping, home and beauty products). That said, I thought the calculator was somewhat simplistic and believe my plastic footprint is even lower than what the calculation showed. I think we really need to demand that manufacturers use less plastic. I'm not quite...

I always keep my reusable utensils on site at work so I know I have it available. It's been extremely helpful to reduce the need for plastic or compostable forks or spoons!
