Haven’t done very good in the last couple of days.  It seems harder to find food items that are not wrapped in plastic.

Don't give up. I had the same issue last year. Be creative and change the recipe or search for alternatives. We have our routines and this needs to be noticed first. When you know your shopping behaviour you can change habits.

Everyone has been doing so great. I am glad I joined this year. I know I am not fully taking advantage of all the challenge has to offer, but I have used it has been useful
Can’t wait to learn where to get some of the plastic free items that will help in our everyday lives.
    Thank you

While traveling back and forth to Houston, when we do need to make a stop, I ask if the store will allow me to purchase a drink and use my own container instead of buying a glass, lid and straw.  ALL the places we have stopped at have said yes.  Also, on at SPI at Burger Fi, they have allowed us to purchase our drinks and  use our own containers.
    Love those businesses.

One small victory at a time.  May have convinced family member to use gallon water and using a glass instead of buying the individual waters.  I am not allowed to show or talk about the water changes.  I was told it will backfire on me.  So a silent cheer for that.  On another note, we have been watching 1980 (and earlier) movies and noticed people use glasses for drinking water.  Oh the old days...

Visiting with our new born grandchild and I am trying to keep eco friendly.  Unfortunately we are using disposable diapers but we do have a supply of cloth diapers to use.
Trying to encourage others to ditch the plastic water bottles is challenging.  I don’t get it. We are the intelligent humans and we can make some really terrible choices.  Stay safe and healthy. Keep praying for RAIN.

Kudos to you to convince ANYBODY to use cloth diapers again!   My kids had a supply of cloth diapers and used them for burp cloths, not diapers.  And I think the terrible choices we make are out of being spoiled by sheer convenience.  Keep plugging away at the challenges!

Morning everyone, been out just a couple of days. From the grocery store, have never understood the use of those thin plastic bags for produce. Especially when people get things like lemons, apples, etc…
One tasty splurge, when buying my favorite gelato, Talenti, when you are done when dessert  the containers are FANTASTIC for anything lefts over. The containers are a #1 in recycling and can even be used back in the freezer with whatever left over you would like. One of my nature sisters at our elementary school has her crayons by color in her containers.

I joined the challenge because I am already looking out for less plastic but this is another layer to make it even more challenging.

I, too, am plastic conscious, but I have found that next layer has sent me to the next level!

Emptying the frig of left overs instead of buying food.  I am very grateful my husband likes to eat leftovers!
